Our Board of Directors

Northwestern Electric Cooperative is governed by a board of nine member-elected directors who actively participate in setting policies and making decisions for the co-op.  

These trustees are members of your community, and they are concerned with the issues you face every day because they face them as well!

Our directors serve a three-year term, and must constantly keep up with the evolving energy industry among other responsibilities. They must also live in the district which they represent and meet all qualifications listed in NWEC’s bylaws.

Directors are given the privilege to serve by our members! At the end of each Director’s term an election is held in their district for the position, during which members will vote to elect the next trustee. This is known as a district meeting - learn more here.

The new board member’s term will then begin after our Annual Meeting, which is a HUGE event for the co-op that every member is welcome and encouraged to attend!! Learn more about our Annual Meeting here.
